Art Workshops
Are you ready to learn a new art? You don't need any experience to be able to create a beautiful project.
The glass and other materials do so much of the work for you. Have a fun evening out with friends, family, and meet new people. The fee includes all materials and tools. The kids' workshops are open to anyone 8 and up, All the others are great for everyone 12 and up! It would be a great activity to enjoy with your son, daughter or grandkids!

I have been making mosaics and fused glass, jewelry, painting and 3D art for over 2 decades and I have had the opportunity to teach classes at community colleges, in studios, and homes. I am so excited to share the fun learning experience with everybody!

Fill your child’s summer with art! With a different project every week, kids will learn about different mediums and techniques. They can come to any and all classes and everything is included.
This will be ideal for ages 6-12 (if you are interested in an age outside of this range, contact me!) Projects will be scaled to age/ability and interest. If the week’s project is not of their interest, they will have access to the materials from previous projects to create with.

Stained Glass Succulent Series
Come to one, or many, stained glass classes to make these stained glass succulents. If you have not done any stained glass classes and are level 1, there will be plenty of designs to choose from. If you have done some classes and are level 2, there are even more options!

Summer Skies watercolor class
Learn how to paint a cotton candy sky in a tropical setting using high quality watercolor paints and paper. I will instruct you through each step, no experience necessary. All instruction and materials are included.. You will leave with your painting matted and ready to pop into a frame!

Fantasy Forest Crushed Glass Workshop
Smashing bottles plus fused glass mushrooms equals a fantasy forest! Learn how to create art with crushed glass, fused glass, copper, and resin!
After pouring epoxy resin on, (that keeps it all in place), you can play with mica to add some sparkle to your creation! Your completed piece is about 8” x 15” and is perfect on a wall, or in a window.
All ages (the glass can still be sharp, so they still need to be careful!)

First we make the wire shapes for your butterflies and flowers. Then we create layers of UV resin with ink to add color. We finish it off on a hoop that we can add fairy lights to! You can hang your 6” x 8” in a window or on the wall.

Mushroom Love Workshop
Learn how to cut stained glass to create these mushroom mosaics. There are different shapes and sizes to choose from. Plus special heart dots (you can also use the round ones!) You will also have tons of colors of glass to choose from to make your mushroom(s) unique.

Sea of Glass Crushed Glass Workshop
Relax while learning the art of crushed glass and make either a lighthouse or boat scene. If you are coming as a pair, you could each make one and then have the set to display side by side. I provide the lighthouse and/or boat, and you do the rest! We will use different colors and sizes of crushed stained glass to create texture and form. You can even do some of the crushing if you want! After pouring epoxy on, (that keeps it all in place), you will play with mica to add a sky of sparkle to your creation! Have you always wanted to make your own gifts, but run out of time or spend more money on the materials than you meant to? Come to some or all of the mini workshops!
Pre-registering will guarantee your spot at the start of the classes (if you walk in, you might have to wait until the the pre-registered folks have finished) It also helps me to know what everyone is interested in making!
At the event, you will have the option to make more than one of the projects. You don’t need to plan ahead for that. You can start a tab and after the day is over, we will tally your extra projects up.
No experience needed! Kids are welcome to come with a participating adult, but please let me know their age after registering so that I can be prepared to accommodate them.
There will also be many of my own items for sale and free gift wrap and tags so that you can walk away with some gifts ready to go.
A selection of snacks, refreshments and wine will be available all day to keep your energy and creative spirit going!

Learn how to use a soldering iron with (lead-free) solder and stamps to create pendants, bracelets, or keychains
You will have a selection of stamps to use and you will learn the process of using them with the solder. Then we clean them up, add patina and finish them so they will be ready to wear or gift!
No experience necessary, this is a much easier technique than you might think! It produces a professional, solid piece of jewelry. I learned this technique from the book “Soldering Iron Jewelry” by Laura Beth Love, and I am so excited about it!

Two Workshops: Moon Wire Wrapping and Wire Wrapping a cabochon
Come for one or both!
Learn how to do wire wrapping without needing a beadhole! I will have many pieces to choose from, including fused glass made by me. Also, moons and stones. You will learn different wire wrapping techniques, jewelry finishing and how to use liver of sulfur to add a patina for a professional finish.
Wear as a pendant, hang it in your car or window or use it as an ornament!

Make tiny mushrooms from polymer clay. (or use some of mine) Then create a little scene with real moss and soil for a pendant! You will also have lots of flowers to choose from to make a second pendant or keychain or a pair of earrings.
We use UV Resin that is cured with a special lamp and makes it so that you can harden it in minutes. You will learn how to build layers and colors which can be added with mica!

My studio will be open to anyone who wants to come and try different projects. All materials and tools are provided.
There are 2 options:
Mosaic for $30 you can make a glass mosaic, no experience necessary, I will guide you through whatever project you want to make. Mosaic bottles, frames, key hanger, window hanging, mushrooms, leaves, hearts, flowers!
Soldering if you have attended at least one of the Stained Glass Course classes, you can come and make another project. You can design one yourself, or do a project previously posted. Cost is $60

I put my own creative spin to it and we will be using stained glass sheets as the backgrounds (I have many to choose from) Then we will form waves from strips of copper. Around them we will use different colors and sizes of crushed stained glass to create texture and form. After pouring epoxy on, (that keeps it all in place), you will have the opportunity to play with mica to add sparkle to your creation! These are gorgeous on a wall, or in a window.

Make a suncatcher to hang in your window and catch light through my fused glass stars and mushrooms. (all handmade by me!) You will have many colors to pick from. The moon form is made from thick, pure copper that you will shape and hammer. The whole thing comes together with wire wrapping and twirly techniques. You can hang your 10” x 10” piece in a window, on a light colored wall or even outside!

Make this fun (and useful!) mosaic key hanger. It measures approximately 4" x 10" and you can have fun choosing from a variety of colors. Absolutely no experience is necessary, we will guide you through every step.

This workshop is a little different than most that I have done because it is great for individuals to do, but I have developed a way to do this as a family group project. All ages can be involved!
Everyone will have the chance to make their own inked pieces, learn wire wrapping, enjoy some anvil copper banging, and then bring it all together for a piece to hang in your window or on the wall.
Every individual will also make a pendant and/or keychain plus your hanger.
All families will leave with each member having their own pendant and/or keychain and one hanger.

Zero experience is needed, I have developed a teaching method that breaks everything down so that you can follow along and have a painting to be proud of! You are also welcome to diverge from the script and be extra creative.

Learn to make fused glass art by fusing mica into the glass to create a 4" x 4" coaster and a pendant. You will create your project and then leave it with me to fire in the kiln over the weekend.

On Friday, March 16th come make a fused garden for your window or to brighten up a shelf or table. I will help you make a unique creation, you don't need any experience to make a piece you will be proud of!
You will work with fused glass, frits, and even recycled wine bottles. Then you leave the piece with me to fire in my kiln, and then it will be framed and ready for you to pick up after the weekend. I can also mail it to you for an additional $5.
While you work there will be wine, cheese, snacks, and dessert. Everything is included for $25, so come make a night of it!

Make 2 sparkling pendants using techniques in wire wrapping and beadwork. All levels will be able to make something they are proud to wear or give as a gift.
There will be a variety of beads and crystals to make your jewelry unique to you. You will also get to do a little hammering on an anvil to give your piece a professional look. All tools and materials are included.
